I Hate Humility.

SUBTEXT: Dear fellow life-forms, Imagine If I cared.

There are just nonsensical components of social conformities that do not take much of my effort, exemplified by today's topic.

Don’t be worried, I’m still the empath you know me to be, and my empathic nature remains perfectly intact. However,...

There’s just a labyrinth of social nonsense that one has to conform to as a functioning member of the society and I refuse for mine to be Humility. The archetypal image of a good person and the quintessential emblem of virtue.

As an evolving member of society, I've explored the concept of humility extensively, for what is man without change, and acquired new knowledge but after considerable introspection, I have come to the conclusion that the theory of humility is simply NOT FOR ME. This might carry a lot of judgmental overtones depending on your philosophical bent.

The categorical essence of humility eludes many of society's own, I do not think people quite understand the meaning of humility. According to the ubiquitous Google: the feeling or attitude that you have no special importance that makes you better than others.

Synonyms of humility include submissiveness, meekness, lowliness.

Can you imagine this definition?

What a mentally demanding activity to think of yourself as less for the sake of acceptance. People can find blunt confidence extremely nauseating, and the fact just makes me so sick- Actually, I rebuke; they won’t make me sick - but using this figuratively

Anytime someone speaks of humility or somewhat insinuates it, I just think what a miasma! I immediately disengage my inferior colliculus or start getting riled up for an argument. The rampant propagation of humility undermines individual self-assurance, Liberation from its constraints is imperative my dears, IMPERATIVE, HIGHLY PRIMAL.

These rapidly escalating crimes of humility are killing my people and their self-confidence. Release yourselves.

A quote I once encountered “Living your naked truth(s) will always disturb those living well-dressed lies” such a poignant statement, It just makes so much sense to me, DUH. People hate what they don’t understand, the fear of the unknown is so prominent. It's almost embarrassing, the overwhelming hold it has on our present society.

I tried to research the original creator of the quote but all I could find was a famous columnist Ann Landers (a pen name) who had published “The Naked Truth is Always Better than the best-dressed Lie”

The human psyche yearns for distinction amidst all the conformity and yearns to be different but simultaneously the same. There’s nothing quite like existing as yourself with regard and empathy for other individuals who occupy the earth with you.

My hypothesis of humility is, that it is a free radical- unstable atoms that can damage cells, causing illness and aging- well in this case as self-explanatory as it is, damaging our self-perception, causing an illness in the mind and aging, -LOL- I am not dramatic, I am so serious. These are subtle nuances that often influence our perception of ourselves.

Let it be unequivocally, that my hypothesis does not settle on the fact that being rude, disrespectful, cocky, or looking down on others is a commendable trait. Please NO! Rather, it signifies a steadfast commitment to personal empowerment. Believing in your capabilities and diligence to yourself as much as you can.

Be monumental or let those who want to be BE!

Absolutely resonating with every word here! While I agree that humility has its place in fostering empathy and understanding, I've always felt that it shouldn't come at the cost of diminishing our own worth or self-assurance. Finding that balance between humility and self-empowerment is key, and your article brilliantly highlights the importance of embracing our uniqueness while still respecting others. Well said Dera. I fw this❤️
